A shattered life by Michael Sherman

                           Difficulty in life is a very long lasting ordeal. It takes strength and resilience to power through the tough times. Most of the hardships in life have a way of teaching us who we really are. Abuse and pain is always hard to cope and power through. In the book “a shattered life”, an auto biographic of suffering and trial, it shows life in a very genuine sense of pain and growth.

                                   On page 25 line 8; “...Learning got more difficult as time went on...” it gives a sense of hope that one can learn from experience. Some things though difficult can be temporary. Hope is one thing to hold onto described well in this book.

                                  Again on page 35 line 21 it shows that even the darkest of times can have a bright side in saying; “another reason why I love camp was due to having the opportunity to help.” The sense of accomplishment can be a good therapy for stress, a good cope mechanism.

                                 On page 62 line 16 “when people like my lawyer Shelagh showed concern it scared me a little...” it shows that when prone to pain, help can be a difficult thing to ask for and embrace. Most times when life falls apart it can be a learning experience for growing in strength.

                                In conclusion the autobiographical; A shattered life by Michael Sherman is a story of pain and healing. As well it is a growing experience described in a genuine way. The book is a tragic beginning into a reliving growth of strength and resilience. Recommended to anyone in need of support with relatable tragically.  I give this book an eight out of ten for inspirational hope.
