Lower Surgery
I had metiodioplasty with the works completed in Montreal, Ontario on April 13th, 2015 and also had the testicular implants (minor surgery) put in on December 7, 2016.
On April 13th, 2015, I completed the second part of my surgical transition. I do want to really emphasize, that I do not see the physical steps one takes (FTM or MTF)in a transition to be necessary for everyone, no do I believe that your gender is defined by what’s between your legs. But for me, having metiodioplasty done was something I needed to do for me to feel physically comfortable as myself.

After receiving the official approval letter from the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, I scheduled my surgery by emailing the Centre Metropolitan De Chirurgie. I had already spoken to the staff when I was considering this surgery. Once a date was finally picked out with Dr. Pierre Brassard, it was set in stone. I just needed to send up the necessary blood work and money for the antibiotics (75.00). The next step was which mode of transportation I was going to use – Bus, Train or Plane.
