Mike Sherman, is a transgender speaker, mentor, and author of the book "A Shattered Life".  He became known after the release of the Premiere edition of OUTvisions in 2001.  He has also appeared on various shows and in print including Transtion Radio, 610 CKTB, Trans Hits Radio, TransLiving Magazine, Welland Tribune and the St. Catharines Standard.

 

For the past eight years, Mike has been hosted as a Transgender speaker on over 50 locations across the Niagara Region and beyond.  Most frequeent student programs include Mike's transition story titled "The Transguy Next Door".  His cross-section of experience allows him to not only offer programming from students, but to also provide professional staff development training surround transgender inclusion.

 

Mike works with businesses, health care agencies, and community organizations seeking to increase competency and inclusion from transgender employees, clients and patients. Some past clietns include Postivie Living Niagara, Quest CHC, and Martindale IDA.

 

Conferences also hire Mike as their keynote speaker on topics surround identity, challenges, and openness.

Transgender Support
